Children’s Spaces and Places Research Group

2014-11-02 21.17.02

This blog is written by members of the Children’s Spaces and Places Research Network. We are an interdisciplinary forum for anyone interested in children’s experiences of and in spaces and places. We draw on a broad range of understandings of the nature of space, but generally are interested in thinking about space and place as a socially dynamic component of children’s experience, which may affect their meaning making, social relationships, emotions and agency. Members of the group have carried out research and knowledge exchange activities in schools, public spaces, skate parks, online spaces, play spaces, museums, hospitals, libraries and the home.
